(clears throat) SATURDAY i woke up around 8ish and got ready. picked up blair at like 920 and went to walgreens. got to richards house and left for the drive to hollywood. the drive as always was boring. ryan slept the whole way there. we checked into the hotel at like 4 (i think). and watched tv for a bit. we all started getting really tired so we went in search for food. we found a fuddruckers so we ate there. after dinner we went back to the hotel for a short power nap. we left for the knitting factory at like 615 and got there around 630. we found kim in line with her cool posse of 13 year olds (your sister is cute) and waited in line 3 seperate times before being allowed in. i saw jack and daniel out front so i went up to them and gave them a huge hug. they were so surprised and happy to see us there. the knitting factory has 3 different rooms, steel train being in the smallest room. the stage was the tiniest stage ive ever seen. dusty rhodes and the river band played first. they were good. they had a really crazy kid who played the accordian and a really adorable girl who played the violin. she's my hero. el oso negro played second. they rocked even without monique. and thirdly it was time for steel train. the set wasnt their best. matt was having huge sound problems with the acoustic, but overall i still love them. and because their "special guests" was patrick from limbeck. he's freaking awesome. cant wait to see him and robb tonight! after the show i talked to matt. he was in a real bad mood. its ok though i forgive him. blair and i talked to patrick for a bit. then we went outside and watched all the crazy hollywood folks. like my boyfriend, the alice cooper look-a-like. we talked with daniel for a bit. then we made real good friends with el oso negro. we talked to them for a bit. evan invited us to some after party so we made our way back to the van and to the party. we parked and called evan. couldnt find the party but found jack wandering down the same street looking for the party too. we got ahold of stuart from el oso negro and they got ahold of evan and somehow we all made our way the the "party". ok now about this party. these girls worship the movie Almost Famous and besically want to be Penny Lane. their apartment was really neat though, however these girls were out there. they mostly talked in abbreviations. ex. "alkie=alcohol" "the the form boys we said sup=tell the guys in the format we say hello" scott was getting pretty frustrated which made me laugh. i sat on the couch in between scott and daniel. talked to daniel a bit. talked to scott for a short sec about how lame the party is. then daniel got up and some weird kid sat down next to me and attemted to strike a conversation. i kept shutting him down with one word replies. finally i went and sat down and talked with the guys from el oso negro. they were hungry and we were bored so we decided to go eat. we said our goodbye and gave hugs and made our way to Canters 24 hour fine dining (ha). we ate and then made our way back to the hotel around 4. SUNDAY we woke up around 930. we got a text from stuart around the same time saying that they decided to drive home last night and they just got home. i dont know how they did it. we got ready and checked out. we then went to jamba juice and made our way back to phoenix. we all pretty much passed out right away. which really sucked for richard who was driving. but about 10 or 15 minutes before blythe we saw the steel train van. it was exciting. we stopped at the gas station where blair and i saw jack's dad. then we left for the rest of the trip back home. we got back around 345 and then blair and i had to go to walmart to buy mothers day cards. it took forever and didnt get home untill 430. the parentals werent home so i showered and got ready for the show at marquee. finally like 5 minuted before blair picked me up, my family came home. so i told my mom happy mothers day and left. blair and i started to drive to the marquee. we called daniel who's phone wasnt working so he couldnt hear us, and then we called evan and his phone went straight to voicemail "meow". we got to the marquee at like 630 and found richard. blair and i went to the ticketbox and got our lil red ticket thing since we were on the guestlist. we got in and found our spots, right in front of matt and evan. we stood there for awhile. evan walked on stage and saw me so he came out and gave me a huge hug. then matt and jack saw us too and waved. matt was in a much better mood than the previous night. i talked to the security guards and mentioned to them my idea about become a bouncer. they laughed in my face. tickertape parade opened and did really well. next on was steel train. they did sooooo good. my god. it was by far the best ive seen them play and ive seen them quite a few times. i got some really great pictures that i'll post prolly tomorrow. i was sad when steel train's set was over cause that meant it was time for the format. i was really actually scared to watch them, especially being so close. i mean, the last time i saw them was at edgefest when i almost got killed. and i didnt want to leave another format show with a black eye. luckily their was no pushing or attempted moshing/crowd surfing. so that made me happy. nate was way drunk and overll just pisses me off. he bashes phoenix at the flagstaff show and in the tribune, yet he couldnt stop talking about how much he loves to play phoenix. jackass. evan called towards the end of the showing saying he wants us to hang out after the show. when the format was over we made our way outside, me slapping jacks ass in the meantime and saying a quick hello to matt and daniel at the merch table. we walked outside and met evan at their van. we pulled him around on his skateboard around the parking lot, promoted the street team to some people who stopped to tell evan how much he rocked. when it was time to load up the van, blair and i talked to matt from el oso negro who played the slide guitar on one of the format songs. he was way tired. then we talked to matt for a bit and then just talked to random people. evan told us to come back to the hotel with them, so after they were done loading, blair, daniel, evan and i drove in blairs car to the hotel. well to a qt first cause we couldnt find the hotel. daniel got directions from sam and we found the hotel. evan, blair, daniel and i hung out in the van for a bit while everyone else went to bed. they had to wake up at 645 this morning to play on good morning arizona (which i forgot to tape). after we hung out in the van we went up into the room and watched some movie with scott. then blair and i left cause we had school in like 4 hours. lol. it was an amazing weekend. but it also made me really sad because they wont be back in az for a long long time. which makes me hope more that we'll be able to go to the texas shows. tonight is the format and limbeck show. be prepared to see some crazy armadillo racing going on with patrick. lol. i miss robb.
